How does crafting work?
Open the crafting menu with the C key and build anything you have the materials for — there’s no separate crafting station for basic recipes; your powered-up train acts as the crafting hub. Resources come from salvaging the environment: Metal, Aluminum, Plastic, Wires, Duct Tape, Fabric, Alcohol, Ice, Nutriworm, Oxyworm, Refined Metal, Rubber, Glass, Light Bulbs, Titanium, and Electric Tape.
Which tools should I craft first?
Craft all three starting tools immediately — they’re cheap and each one harvests something the others can’t. The Cutter is the priority: it extracts the Cardboard and Foam you need for 100 Cold Protection. What unlocks after the Three Antennas quest?
