FAQ
How many collectibles are in Breathedge 2 Chapter 1?
Which collectibles need the Twister?
Can I collect everything in one run through Chapter 1?
How many collectibles does Chapter 1 hide, and what kinds?
Fifty — split across six stocked categories: 4 books, 4 notes, 1 photo, 14 posters, 13 toys, and 14 pieces of misc junk. A seventh category, Video Tapes, exists but holds nothing in Early Access yet, so completionists can hit a full 50/50 today. They are pure pickup items: no crafting, no inventory weight tricks — you grab them where they float, and several cluster on the same platforms you visit for side quests anyway.
Nothing here is a softlock risk. The collection spreads from the crashed train to the far side of Chuck’s Taxi, which means one honest constraint: the far items push your oxygen budget, so chain refills at the public stations rather than flying the whole corridor on one tank.

Which collectibles need tools, repairs, or codes first?
Group the trip by gate rather than by map region — it saves repeat flights through cold space:

- Twister (5 items): Newspaper fragment, Roly-poly Marie Curie, Humans only, Thank you, Coffinbot’s Luggage. The Twister unlocks through the Three Antennas quest, so sweep these after that.
- Cutters (1 item): Chuck’s Taxi Advertisement at the bus depot — the same tool you use on the grate and tarp salvage.
- Repairs (4 items): Clickedge 2 and Shark each hide behind a Service Warmer repair; Hamster Grummler wants the strange toilet fully repaired; the Lootbox needs its hose plugged into the waste-disposal plug.
- Quest-gated (1 item): The BEER blueprint sits at the center of Chuck’s Taxi and only opens up once that quest — ten energy terminals plus two hidden batteries — is finished.
- Codes (2 items): The Singing Cat locker (B5, code 8192 written on the relaxation-room wall) and the Brewcopter’s locked train room (keypad code displayed on the train’s front end).
Do collectibles unlock anything?
Mostly they feed the collection counter, but a handful cross into achievements: equipping the cone helmet once pays the Conehead achievement (Fatigue Drain −5%), and the pickup-heavy areas overlap with one-off gags like People Person (inspect 10 bodies). The full perk table lives in the achievements guide — collectible hunting and achievement cleanup share the same flight routes, so run them together.
